There is no part of Hollywood that is casually flyable. FLL's Class C airspace covers the northern half of the city and North Perry's traffic pattern covers much of the west, which is why so much aerial work here either does not happen or happens badly.
It is entirely flyable with authorization, which is a filing rather than a favor. We hold Part 107 and file for the approvals that make a legal flight possible, and we will tell you before you book whether an address needs several days of lead time.
The work here is beach-facing: condo towers along the Broadwalk, single-family stock in Hollywood Lakes, and the resort and event traffic between Johnson Street and the Hollywood Beach Theater.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL, Class C) sits immediately north and North Perry (HWO) immediately west, so almost the whole city is inside controlled airspace. We hold FAA Part 107 certification and file for the authorizations those shelves require, which is work you never have to see — but it is why an address here wants a few days of notice rather than a few hours.

Can you legally fly a drone in Hollywood?
With authorization, yes. The city sits under Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International's Class C airspace to the north and North Perry's to the west, so almost every address needs an approval on file before the flight. That is normal work for us; it just needs lead time.
How much notice do you need for a Hollywood beach property?
A week is comfortable. Airspace authorization near a major airport can take several days, so the beach corridor is the last place to leave a booking until Friday.
Can you shoot the Broadwalk without getting crowds in frame?
Early morning is the honest answer. We schedule beach work for the hour after sunrise where the shot needs an empty Broadwalk, and for twilight where it needs atmosphere.
